We offer several programs that center around issues that the transgender community faces, and our medical, behavioral health, and case management staff sensitive to the special needs of our transgender clients. NEW! THInC, Howard Brown Health Center's program to empower and support trans clients who wish to access hormones.THInC is an acronym that stands for Trans Hormones – Informed Consent. TYRA: Transgender Youth Resource and Advocacy GroupTYRA is a support group for transgender and questioning youth, 24 and under, to meet people, get informed, and be supported by their peers. It’s held every Wednesday at the Broadway Youth Center, 3179 N. Broadway (near Broadway and Belmont) from 6 pm to 8 pm. Dinner is served every meeting, and every fourth Wednesday is movie night! If you identify as transgender, and are between the ages of 14 and 24, you may qualify for the Transgender Youth Research Project.
