Regina Kim, M.D. Joins Howard Brown

CHICAGO, IL--Howard Brown Health Center today announced that Regina J. Kim, M.D. has joined the agency. Dr. Kim, a board certified, multilingual physician specializes in family practice medicine and women’s health issues.

Prior to joining Howard Brown, Dr. Kim was a Full-Time Faculty Physician with PCC Community Wellness Center in Oak Park, IL.  Licensed by the American Board of Family Medicine and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, her interests include women’s health (including colposcopy and alternative insemination), teen health, immigrant health, public health, social justice, and transgender health.

When asked why she decided to join Howard Brown, Dr. Kim stated, “This is a dream job for me.  Though I’ve trained in the broad spectrum of women's health, I am also interested in a more holistic and less hetero-normative approach. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in women, and I will also endeavor to address it in a more comprehensive manner.  I’m honored to bring my multicultural and multilingual background to service in our diverse community.”

Dr. Kim received her Bachelor of Science degree at University of Illinois, and her medical degree from University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine.  She is a Clinical Associate at University of Chicago, a Volunteer Physician for the Community Health Clinic, and an Active Member, FP-OB Board Certification of the American Board of Physician Specialties.
