Howard Brown Health Center Confirms Administrative Changes

April 9, 2010 – Chicago, IL: Howard Brown Health Center confirmed today that Michael Cook CEO of the organization, and that the former CFO, Mark Joslyn, are no longer employed.  Last week Cook and the CFO, Mark Joslyn, were placed on administrative leave in response to an internal personnel matter.  At this time, Howard Brown is working closely with its lawyers to address the situation.  

Howard Brown values the support of the GLBTI community and understands its responsibility to inform the community to the fullest extent possible.    As soon as more information can be shared without disrupting the work of the organization, a statement will be made and questions will be answered.

The Board is extremely dedicated and deeply committed to the preservation of the Howard Brown’s operational integrity.  The organization operates a multitude of health initiatives as well as many important clinical and research programs that serve the community and the larger Chicago population.  Howard Brown has and will continue to play an essential role in the community.  

An interim CEO announcement is anticipated as early as next week.
